Ingredients
1 lb minced lamb meat
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 large onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp coriander powder
Directions
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and fry for 1-2 minutes until they start to sizzle.
- Add the chopped onion and fry for 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown.
- Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies to the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the minced lamb meat to the pan and fry for 5-7 minutes until it is browned.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and fry for 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- Add the tomato puree to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and let the keema cook for 10-12 minutes over medium heat until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Once the keema is cooked, turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped cilantro leaves on top.
